Zombie Rural - HD Isometric Tileset
A downloadable asset pack
A massive Zombie countryside tileset pack for your next top down 2D game, including different Floors, Walls, Roofs, Cliffs, Flora, Trees, Cars and Objects. Great RPGs, RTS, Survival and horde games!.
With over 1800 different tiles, the pack is created to fit as many different project as possible.
The tiles are semi inspired by games like The Last of Us and shows like the Walking Dead. with a post apocalyptic feel to them.
Features:
- Over 1800 isometric tiles!
- Walls, cliffs, Stairs, Windows, Doors etc.
- A lot of different objects to populate your scene!
- Several car objects.
- Flora! A lot of plants, trees and grass.
- 1 player characters with over 15 different animations
- 5 zombie characters with over 15 different animations
- Animated blood splash effects
- Animated Gunfire effect
- Animated campfire
- Detailed example scene with Zombie AI (as shown in video)
Each tile is 128x256 px in size. The height is to account for higher objects.
The pixel per unit is set to 128.
This asset is made to work with my other HD Character packs.
For example the Zombie character pack and the Zombie City Tileset Pack !
The tiles are set up to be as flexible as possible, using segments you can build pretty much any building you can think of. This is also great for survival games where the player needs to build things to survive. Fences, Walls, Doors, Windows, Generator, Water tank etc.
A few objects are animated to give life to the scene, included a campfire and different blood effects. The example scene in the video is not included, but was built using the Unity Engine and was built using only assets found in the pack. No Audio is included in the pack.
Dont forget to Rate and review the asset!

Hey I just bought the bundle and am working with this pack. Can you tell me if you have timings listed somewhere for each animation?
Hey—thanks for grabbing the bundle! I don’t have a separate timing sheet, but here’s how you can find or calculate each clip’s duration:
All clips are exactly 15 frames.
Sample Rate (FPS), default 60 (as seen in the video)
Length, default 1.417 s (this is how long it takes at 1× playback)
First of all thank you for the great work. We purchased all your isometric artwork and are generally very happy. One thing that would help a lot is inclusion of "edge connector tiles". It is basically a terrain from corner to corner that transitions into base terrain in the other corners. You can find a reference on this Github repo: https://github.com/kleingeist37/godot-wang-converter
It would improve the tile set a lot and make it much easier to implement autotiling.
Thank you,
Best regards.
Thank you for the kind words and feedback! You can do something similar with my tiles, where the Dirt tiles are the default transition tiles and with that you can go from any biom to any other biom. in the picture below you can see me going from Dirt to Asphalt to Dirt to Water to Dirt to Light dirt to Dirt to Grass etc. The transitions becomes a little bit thicker, but it does the job I would say. another way of doing it if you rather have the transitions with grass is to use the flora tiles and cover the seams with those in a seperate layer.
I see.. Thank you for the information. I can see that similar results can be achieved by using the tileset as is however this would require us to code the autotiling system from scratch unfortunately. I was hoping to avoid that by making use of existing dual grid mapping systems/plugins. Like this one: https://github.com/Schizem/dual-grid-mapping?tab=readme-ov-file#isometric-tiles.
For now, we will roll out our own I guess but if you can add this one tile to each biome, it will help future game developers using this tileset, and increase adoption of your artwork in my humble opinion.
Thank you again!
Can i ask what animations come with the player character?
sure!
I bought the asset package here on itch so I could apply it to UNITY, but the packages here come without the .unitypackage, you can make these ".unitypackage" files available along with the package. Thank you!
Thats right, as the description says these are not unity packages sold on itch, but instead the base spritesheets that you can use in any game engine(hence the lower price).
if you are specifically looking for the unity versions with example scene then you need to buy it from the asset store.
